The meet & greet activities carried out during the implementation phase are described below, which constitute direct evidence of compliance with the WP3 indicators.
1. Meet & Greet – «The Gialloblu and Euro Torri’s Meet & Greet for Young Fans»
📅 Date: March 6, 2025
👥 Participants: ~150 academy children and families
🏟️ Location: Parma Calcio Sports Facilities
This first event served as the symbolic starting point of the program, framed in a day of games and dynamics guided by the technical staff and the players of the men’s and women’s teams.
During the meeting, «shot power» activities and sports circuits were carried out accompanied by brief talks on well-being and hydration. Direct contact with sports referents was key to reinforcing health messages by example and emotional motivation, helping to consolidate the image of hydration as an essential part of performance and healthy living.




2. Crozada Cup 2025 – International Grassroots Football Tournament
📅 Dates: 25–27 April 2025
👥 Participants: >1,000 children and young people from Italy and abroad
🏟️ Venue: Parma Academy Sports Complex
The 2025 Crozada Cup represented the central milestone of mass participation of the Smart Hydration program. Over three days, sports activities, recreational areas and awareness spaces («Fun Village», «Kids Area») were developed where educational panels, accessible water points and practical demonstrations on healthy hydration were installed.
During the event, visual materials were distributed and short workshops were held for families and monitors, focusing on recognizing the signs of dehydration and promoting regular water consumption during physical activity.
This action made it possible to reach a wide and diversified audience, integrating the values of the project in a festive and competitive context.


3. Tardini for Special – Progetti del Cuore
📅 Date: June 7, 2025
👥 Participants: >1,000 people (children, athletes with disabilities, families, volunteers)
🏟️ Venue: Ennio Tardini Stadium, Parma
This inclusive event reinforced the social dimension of the Smart Hydration project, integrating the principles of equal opportunities, accessibility and sport for all.
Through adapted games and cooperative competitions, the concepts of well-being and hydration were worked on in an environment of high media and community visibility. The technical staff of Parma Calcio distributed educational materials and organized information points where the keys to adequate hydration for performance and health were explained in any physical condition or age.
The event also contributed to strengthening the network of local alliances around inclusive sport, aligning with the values of HealthyLifestyle4All and European Week of Sport.

4. Giocampus – Educational meeting on healthy habits
📅 Date: July 18, 2025
👥 Participants: ~500 children (5–12 years old)
🏫 Location: University of Parma Educational Campus
The program closed with an educational day co-organized with the Giocampus alliance, which brings together the University of Parma and local actors around the promotion of healthy habits.
During the match, the Parma Calcio players participated in practical workshops and multi-sport games with the children, integrating content on balanced eating, healthy hydration and emotional well-being.
This action had a strong didactic and replicability component: the materials and dynamics used in Giocampus were incorporated into the final educational package of the Smart Hydration programme, in order to facilitate its adoption by schools, sports clubs and youth organisations in other countries. It was at this event that the children and family members who were the object of the study were selected-
